Richard Valverde Fernandez is the owner of the “Cerro Dragon” lot.  Richard has been growing coffee since 1980 when he took over the farm from his father.  Richard is a third generation coffee grower.  The name “Cerro Dragon” came from one of the biggest mountains in front of the farm called “Cerro El Dragon”.  The farm is dedicated to growing coffee but some other products such as Avocado, Citrus, and Anonas can be found there.  Mr. Valverde decided to set up a micro mill together with four other farmers, Marvin Garcia, Marco Vinicio Solano, Jose Antonio Portugues y Xenia Verlverde, so as to motivate high quality farmers to deliver their coffee and increase their incomes.
